North Harris County Regional Water Authority (“NHCRWA”) News
The TNW MUD Board continues to monitor a potential NHCRWA fee increase and will keep you advised when any change goes into effect. To learn more, you can monitor the NHCRWA’s website at https://www.nhcrwa.com/, attend, or Zoom into, their monthly board meeting which is held the 1st Monday of every month 6pm at 3648 Cypress Creek Pkwy., Suite 110 Houston, Texas 77068. Reclaim Irrigation Update
Above average high temperatures combined with below normal rainfall again in August created more demand for common area irrigation but, with a few adjustments to the system run durations by the District’s remote monitoring company to increase irrigation in certain areas, the system was up to the challenge. September rains and moderating temperatures will ease the system irrigation requirements as we head into fall.

2026 MUD Proposed Tax Rate
The MUD Board will hear from the District’s financial advisor regarding the 2026 tax rate analysis at its September 17, 2026 Board meeting. No final tax rate will be adopted at the September meeting. Following the September meeting, notice of the proposed tax rate and public hearing will be published as required by law. The Board will then conduct a public hearing on the proposed tax rate at it’s October 15, 2026 Board meeting, at which time, residents will have an opportunity to provide comments. Following the public hearing, the Board will consider adoption of the District’s 2026 tax rate. The Board encourages residents to attend the September and October board meetings to understand the process regarding setting the annual tax rate.
Park News and Greenspaces Update
Have you visited the new “Little Free Library”? Residents are encouraged to take a book, or leave a book. The library is located at the entrance to the Villa Nova detention pond greenspace located at Green Elm and Terravista Dr. Resident, Laurie Moreland and her husband Vincent graciously donated the “Little Free Library”. Harris County Flood Control News
Construction on the four new detention ponds south of Cypresswood and east of TC Jester continues. It’s a constant flow of dump trucks hauling out dirt right now and that will continue for the foreseeable future. A wide buffer ring of trees is being left in place around the new detention ponds. The addition of these detention ponds is good news for those Terranova West residents flooded out during Hurricane Harvey. Monthly Board Meetings
As a Board, we encourage you to attend our monthly meetings to learn what is happening in the District. As a resident, your input is always the first item on the agenda and you are welcome to stay for the duration of the meeting.
Regular monthly meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month, at the clubhouse (unless otherwise stated) and start promptly at 6pm. Agendas are posted on the District website no later than 3 days prior to the meeting.

1. “Eye On Water”
“Eye on Water” is a FREE, accurate and very easy to use leak alert system. This resource can help you prevent a high water bill due to a leak, by simply using this app on your smartphone. It is user friendly, reliable and notifies you when a leak is detected. Timely leak notifications will be sent via text or email. Eye on Water is a quick way to be alerted that you have a leak and potentially save you money!

2. The District’s Emergency Broadcast Messaging System
In the event of an emergency, the Board wants to keep our residents informed as quickly as possible. The District will broadcast messages to communicate critical events affecting the District’s water/sewer operation to residents in real time. The system is also used to communicate periodic routine updates and information to residents.
It is easy to sign up – just go to our district website, (click here) and fill out the alert message window that appears OR click the “Sign Up for Email Alerts” link in the top right hand corner of the homepage.
Another option is to add, alerts@tnwmud.org and +1 (682) 356-5083 to your email and mobile phone contact lists.
