Terravista Detention Pond Wildflower Improvement Project

Elena Prado, daughter of proud parents Mr & Mrs Prado in Terravista, presented her idea for a Girl Scout badge Education project to the MUD Board at last night’s board meeting. Her idea is to make “wildflower seed balls” and toss them on the the banks of the Terravista Detention Pond Greenspace this spring to enhance and add to the existing wildflowers. A simple genius idea by a young lady interested in contributing to the betterment of her community. Elena is a member of Girl Scout Troop 111105. The Board enthusiastically endorsed and supports Elena’s project and looks forward to the additional wildflowers. Several Boy Scouts have done MUD Park improvement projects for the Board over the years but Elena is the first young lady to do a project, the Board couldn’t be happier for her. Congratulations Elena and thanks!

If you haven’t walked the District park and detention ponds lately, take a walk on the wild side, you’ll be glad you did. A map detailing the locations can be found in the District’s website.
